The peculiarity of such a floristic composition is that, thanks to a thoroughly thought-out composition and competent layout, it does not lose its decorative effect for a long time.
Mixborder equally beautiful from early spring to late autumn, and sometimes all year round. Plants are planted in it in tiers. In the foreground there are small and undersized ones, followed by medium-sized ones, and the largest and most voluminous specimens are given a place in the very depths of the composition.
Mixborder sizes vary. They are equally picturesque both on a modest site and on a large territory. The minimum width is 1 meter. The maximum length is several tens of meters. In one fairly large mixborder, you can count up to 25 plant species.
