Green roof - installation of a roof using soil and vegetation as the main element. This is the roof of a building, which is partially or completely covered with soil, vegetation and its life support system.
Vegetation layer is selected individually depending on the climate, the location of the roof, the thickness of the soil and the wishes of the owner. Often mosses, lawn grass, wildflowers and mountain plants are chosen for a green roof. In regions with harsh and cold winters, frost-resistant varieties should be chosen.
